Carol Forsloff — If a thing of beauty is a joy forever, than we can consider a recent piece of music on Fandalism will be with us for a long time.
Nancy Burridge has a voice that is recognized as special for its beauty. Combine that voice with the instrumental knowledge base of Sticky Sugar Hopkins, Remco Heemskerk, Dave Rodrieguiz, Fred Jam and Grammy Award winning Master Audio Engineer offering information and support, and the song becomes a top favorite on the international music site, Fandalism. Burridge brings beauty through this song to new heights in a vocal range that stuns the listener.
The song is called Feels Like Home, a music masterpiece that can bring tears to the eyes of anyone who thinks of the essential things of beauty. The offering is especially poignant at a time when many people along the Eastern seaboard of the United States have lost their homes in the devastating Super Storm, Sandy.
The song is a special tapestry that weaves through the mind and gives the listener that moment of reflection, of what home is for each of us, that inside something or that place in our hopes, our dreams or are realities, that always helps us feel loved and safe. Randy Neuman, the writer of the song, gave the world a gift of this music, one that comes wrapped in infinite beauty with the lustrous voice of Nancy Burridge.
It is here for all those who a moment of beauty today, the kind that can be that joy forever.

Excellent article Carol and best wishes to Nancy.
You both are charming and generous men.
Carol,
What a beautiful, well written article! You and this song, speak of those special things in life like love and one’s home. The “feeling of home” is so beautifully described in this song, and this song is, I believe, one of the greatest love songs I have ever heard.
Those of us on Fandalism are especially aware of the feeling of home that this site gives to us. Where else but home do we get support, love, even hugs and kisses sometimes for the music that we share. Those to whom I gave special recognition, as did you, provide this kind of enthusiastic encouragement, love and support to so many on Fandalsim. It is here that Musicians from the world over are finding a place that truly, “Feels Like Home.” I know I have!
Thank you for this wonderful article and the recognition you have given to me! Another example of the feeling of home!
Thank you also to Remco and Sugar for their well wishes and congratulations!
Happy to see Nancy getting the recognition she rightly deserves. Not only is she a very talented woman but her heart is always in the right place. She’s one of the first ones to greet me when I first joined Fandalism. Her comments made me feel good back then and continues to support not only me but others as well. One another noteworthy point I took notice is that she answers each person that comments on her page..INDIVIDUALLY.. and PERSONALLY instead of clumping a bunch of comments by saying “Thank you all” I know I’ll probably get flack from others for saying this but maybe and hopefully that will encourage them to do the same. She realizes that people are using their time to listen to her and by her appreciation she reciprocates the gesture and not for statistical or ulterior motives…she does it because that’s the type of person she is. Right on Nancy!! You go girl!!
Carol, cudo’s on the article, as always…
Nancy is one very classy lady in the traditional sense of the word… she represents the very best in entertainment, demeanor and kindness… she speaks with compassion and love and sings like a nightingale cutting across all boundaries and genre… she is the real McCoy and for the months that she and I (and a few others) have been plotting along in our Fando-cocoon, she has earned the respect of even age3 group, country, culture and muso-head here on this site… Nancy is like that fine lady you always see carved in wood at the front of every tall ship you have imagined sailing off on… at the vanguard, looking out there ahead and offering a standard by which we can all learn something important about life, music and ourselves… Bravo for that classy lady…. and a fe Papa hugs too.
Wow Nancy that truly is a nice analogy, I never view the song like that but by what you’ve expressed in your comment here, I feel the same way I must say. Also, those one that you are talking about in your comment must definitely be referred back to you. You a a true source of inspiration and encouragement your self(just thought I’d mention it). I’d go one writing but I see security guards are closing in on me for leaving long comments…see ya….
So nice,….and good to see these articles…..Nancy is a lovely woman and a great singer.
Really nice article….Nancy is a lovely woman, and a great singer.
I’ve met some really wonderful people on Fandalism from all walks of life, irrespective of colour, race or religion. That’s the beauty of music. This leads nicely on to Nancy, a beautiful lady who sings beautiful music, a consummate performer. The very first time I heard Nancy sing I was completely overwhelmed, a song from Phantom Of The Opera and I called Diane, my wife, to listen. Her reaction matched mine and we both thought it was a travesty that Nancy wasn’t on Broadway or the West End.
But that’s just Nancy the singer. What about Nancy the person? Here is a lady who is always one of the first to react to a song I upload. Her support and encouragement are amazing. Nancy among others coerced and encouraged me to sing while I played guitar. I shall be eternally grateful for that support. But that’s not all; Nancy felt compelled as I did and others, to record a dedication to a sadly departed friend of ours Rebecca Oliver. A measure of the deep bond of friendship we all feel for each other.
Thank you Nancy for being my true friend
